The Christmas Tradition Continues at the Pinestead!
November 11, 2011I

Seasons Greetings
There's lots of exciting fun starting Friday, Nov. 25th, at the Pinestead Christmas Tree farm when we open for the season at 9 a.m.!

Santa will visit from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on that Friday, and again on Saturday and Sunday. He'll also return for the first two weekends in December, and looks forward to meeting your family.

If you just can't wait until Thanksgiving Friday, we will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Novermber 19 & 20. The fields and gift shop will be open, there will be plenty of wreaths and greens on hand if you are decorating for Thanksgiving and the photo ops will be in place for families wanting to take pictures for their Christmas card.

We are closed the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday before Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving day, but starting Thanksgiving Friday we'll be open daily: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thanksgiving Friday and weekends, and 11 a.m. to 7 p. m. on weekdays, through December 23rd.

Buy One and Plant One
Each choose-and-cut or pre-cut tree purchased will entitle you to a free 12" to 18" Spruce or Fir transplant on Arbor Day weekend, April 28/29, 2012.

You'll also find more information at our website and blog at www.pinesteadchristmastrees.com. Please check it out and be sure to tell your family and friends by using the ShareThis button on the navigation bar.

Great Selection of Christmas Trees
Fraser Fir, Balsam Fir, Blue Spruce, Scotch Pine,
White Pine, & Norway Pine

This is a photo of our Fraser Fir that won the Grand Champion award at the State Fair in 2009!

Come and stroll our acres and acres of Christmas trees, ranging from 7 foot to 10 foot. We have a huge variety of trees in the field, ready for you to choose and cut. We also have a large selection of pre-cut trees, for those who prefer the convenience of shopping for freshly harvested trees without having to go into the fields..

On weekends, we offer free tractor drawn hay-wagon rides through the fields, and we have the snack stand open and a nice campfire for your enjoyment.

On weekdays we don't have the above, but we do have free cider and cookies in the Gift Shop which is open daily. And the critters in our animal barn never take a day off.

Of course, both weekends and weekdays we provide FREE tree shaking, baling, and will tie it on your vehicle. We are full service, just bring warm clothes, boots if necessary, and a smile.

Always Something New in the Gift Shop
The gift shop features a combination of Christmas merchandise and arts and crafts. Several popular local crafters will be returning and we'll have several new ones as well. We are delighted to have our "up north" crafters returning with some new wooden ornaments and birch bark items just perfect for the cabin. The gift shop is a great place to find something for that hard-to-buy-for person on your list. You'll find many more gift shop photos on our web site.

The gift shop is also home to our model railroad.
Last year we added a new gas fireplace and installed an eight foot three arch bridge above it. This year we added a ski resort over the tracks complete with gondola cars to the top.

Wreaths and Greenery

Helen and her crew are again busy making and decorating wreaths, swags, garland, and entryway decorations.
Everyone loves to watch the greens being made and knows it just doesn't get any fresher. Want something special? Just ask! Many people want special shapes or special ornaments included. Like this wreath, but that ribbon--no problem--we'll be happy to change it around for you.

Family fun

In addition, to selecting the "best ever" Christmas tree, you and your family want a memorable experience, you want to keep the family tradition going--or maybe start one. Between Santa, the hay-wagon, campfire, animals, and the many photo ops, Pinestead Tree Farms is the place to do exactly that.

This year we have added several games for the kids including a "find the bear" challenge, sing-a-long music at the campfire, and a nature trail along our creek.

That's why our mission is: "Creating Wholesome Fun Family Experiences and Memories".

We hope to see you this season and we hope you have a joyous Christmas.

Sincerely,

The Hartley Family
